Harrison Pensa Supports Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day
There’s a heat warning in effect for London, Ontario but the folks with Harrison Pensa Personal Injury Group could not be happier as they enjoyed cold and delicious treats in support of Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day.
August 11th marks Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day, where all net proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating locations will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network. For Londoner’s looking to keep cool with a delicious snack today, proceeds from Blizzard sales in the Forest City will benefit the Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.
To date, more than $115 million has been raised for Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals through donations from DQ fans and franchises. The donations made by participating franchises stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
With proceeds raised from local Dairy Queen locations going to the London Children’s Hospital, the donations will benefit sick children in Southwestern Ontario.
Miracle Treat Day has made an impact on the lives of thousands of young children. One young child specifically is five-year-old, and honorary DQ team member Zoe.
Zoe is a Londoner who was born three months early. Zoe’s early arrival lead her to enter the world at the size of a Dairy Queen Blizzard. Despite having to undergo a number of procedures and spend nearly four months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, Zoe was able to pull through.
Now as a healthy and energetic five-year-old, Zoe will be serving up Blizzard Treats at her local London Dairy Queen to raise donations for the Children’s Hospital that she has become so familiar with.
If you haven’t already purchased your favourite Blizzard Treat today, be sure to visit your local participating Dairy Queen location.
